Purpose

The Authority is progressing a bus franchising programme which requires specialist project management support across fleet workstreams. Approval is sought to engage a Fleet Project Manager to manage the production of fleet strategy, vehicle specifications and readiness requirements through to the end of the procurement phases.

Decision

It is approved to procure and engage a Fleet Project Manager to provide specialist, time-limited project management support to the bus franchising programme. The role will be engaged on an outcomes-based basis to manage the production of the fleet strategy, vehicle specifications and readiness requirements, and to support fleet-related procurement activity through to the end of the procurement phases. This engagement will provide specialist expertise, mitigate delivery and commercial risk, and support robust programme governance and decision-making.

Cost: The value of this 6-month contract will be £65,550
