The Authority is progressing a bus franchising programme which requires specialist project management support across on-bus tech workstreams. Approval is sought to engage a On Bus Technology Project Manager to specify and manage the procurement of onboard software and hardware systems and support the main bus franchising procurement where technology input is required

Decision

It is approved to procure and engage an On-Bus Technology Project Manager to provide specialist, time-limited support to the bus franchising programme. The role will be engaged on an outcomes-based basis to specify and manage the procurement of onboard software and hardware systems and to support the main bus franchising procurement where technology requirements, interfaces or evaluation input are required. This engagement will ensure that technology requirements are clearly defined, compliant and procurement-ready, mitigating delivery and commercial risk and supporting effective programme governance.

Cost: The value of this 6-month contract will be £65,550
