Purpose

A Business Analyst is essential to support South Yorkshire’s bus franchising programme by helping design the operating model and define IT & Systems requirements, ensuring SYMCA’s bus franchising programme is operationally effective, data-driven, and aligned with strategic goals.

Decision

A Business Analyst is required on a fixed term basis to provide a shorter term focussed specialist skillset for the bus franchising programme.

Rasib Hussain is an expert in the field and has experience working in the bus industry on a similar bus franchising programmes at Transport for Greater Manchester.
The value of this 6-month contract will be £69,930 (inclusive of Consultancy Plus fees).

This is in addition to the current 6-month contract value that was approved on 15/09/2025 for £67,197.

Taking the overall total request to £137,127.
