Purpose
The Mayoral Delivery Fund (MDF) is a three-year investment fund of £16.675m designed to support the delivery of the Mayor’s manifesto commitments across several MCA portfolio areas.
The MCA Board at its meeting on 24th June 2025 agreed the following recommendations:
•Endorse the proposed Mayoral Delivery Fund (MDF) investment areas to enable the development of further project detail.
•Delegate authority to the Head of Paid Service in consultation with the Mayor and MCA Board Members to approve funding for interventions on the investments that ‘Tell our story’ and ‘Marketing SY’ up to a value of £3.98m.
•Delegate authority to the Head of Paid Service, in consultation with the Mayor to approve funding for investment into building the MCA’s core capabilities up to a value of £3.18m.
•Note that projects drawing on the allocation of Gainshare funding reserved to the MCA will be progressed in accordance with the MCA’s Assurance Framework.
On 24th June 2026 the SYMCA Investment Board recommended approval via delegated authority.
