contract with Symology to supply
required Asset Management system to allow continued management of
inspections, street works and permitting works order, asset
register etc. is agreed.

Reasons for the decision

To deliver best value for money
via the contract.

Alternative options considered

Whilst there is a compliant contract in place
with two options to extend for a further 12 months, it does not
make financial sense to utilise this option.  Not only would utilising the current extension(s)
mean the opportunity is lost to benefit from the cost savings to
reduce the budget, there is additional costs which means the cost
avoidance will then present an added pressure to the budget as
outlined in attached Cabinet report.
