Content

The Cabinet considered a report
of the Executive Director (Environment and Place) in response to
the petition referred by Council on 20March 2025 calling for a new
lift to be installed at Cluny House.
 
Resolved:
 
That it be noted that an
agreement had already been reached to renew the passenger lift at
Cluny House in January 2025 and, following a procurement exercise,
it is expected work will begin on site in September
2025.
 
Reasons for
decision:
 
To respond to the Petition
calling on the Council to install a new lift at Cluny
House.
 
Other options:
 
Alternative options have been
considered however due to the identification of the lift shaft
issues which would impact on the long-term consistency of the lift
it is felt that renewal is the only viable option.
