Purpose

Throughout the year the Council receives
requests for seasonal decorations and attachments to highway
assets.
 
For the highway authority to fulfil its legal
obligations and to provide clarity for potential applicants wanting
to introduce decorations on the public highway this policy setting
out the Council’s approach to the approval of seasonal
decorations and attachments to highway assets policy has been
drafted and approval is sought for its adoption along with the
associated technical guidance manuals.
