Purpose

To re-affirm the ‘Home to School/College
Travel Policy and Guidance for statutory school age
pupils’.

Content

The policy was last formally agreed by Cabinet
in 2010. The policy summary is regularly reviewed, and amendments
have been made over time for clarity and because of changes in
process, the law and statutory guidance. The policy is reviewed
annually and amended as required for clarity without formal
agreement No changes are being proposed at this time to the
intention of the policy or support it provides but it would be
appropriate to formally re-affirm its’ use.

Alternative options considered

The full statutory school age home to school
travel policy was last formally agreed by Cabinet in 2010. As the
policy is not changing its’ intention or support provided,
and no changes are proposed at this time, no other options have
been considered.
