The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways &
Transport Services has given approval to the rescission of
Executive Decision CMDHPL171 relating to ‘Electric Vehicle
Chargers in Public Car Parks - Parking Places Order
2025’.

Alternative options considered

Appendix 1 of decision CMDHPL171 listed a
number of car parks currently under review for future changes from
free to paid. Whilst the appendix in no way replaced the governance
process for making changes to the arrangements at these car parks,
there was concern that this was not expressly written within the
appendix or the report, leaving room for confusion. The appendix
could not be amended without rescinding the decision in its
entirety.
