The Leader of the Council has given consent on
behalf of the Council to the proposed making of the Combined
Authorities (Adult Education Functions) (Amendment) Order
2025.

In view of the urgency of notifying the Department for Education of
the Council’s decision in relation to consenting or otherwise
to the Order, this needing to be done before the next Cabinet
Meeting, the Leader of the Council has exercised his authority to
exercise all executive functions under Section 9E of the Local
Government Act 2000 to take the decision to consent to the orders
on behalf of the authority.

Agreement has also been given for the decision to be exempted from
call-in to ensure that the decision is effective by 28 February
2025.
