The Cabinet Member for
Parks, Highways & Transport Services has considered a report
providing an overview of those car parks within the borough that
are currently free of charge and the rationale for identifying
which car parks are proposed to see the introduction of
charges.
The report detailed
the fair and reasonable approach being applied to the
implementation of the proposal, this is in terms of location (e.g.
proximity to district centres, commuter use etc), operational
impacts on the local area and cost/benefit analysis plus the impact
assessments undertaken.
The Cabinet Member for
Parks, Highways and Transport Services has then given approval to
the implementation of the proposals detailed within the report,
including the advertising and creation of an Off-street Parking
Places Order containing the provisions stated in Article 4.7 of the
report, on the following car parks:
·
Guywood Lane (upper section)
·
Redhouse Lane
Alternative options considered
None.
