At the meeting of the
Cabinet held on 6 December 2022, the Cabinet gave approval to a
proposal for the council to proceed with Iduna as the delivery
partner for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure on a lease
basis for 21 proposed sites and approve delegation to the Director
of Place Management in consultation with the Cabinet Member for CAN
for identifying alternative sites if these prove unviable and the
delegation of final terms for the lease agreements to the Director
of Place Management in consultation with Cabinet Member for
CAN.
The Director of Place
Management has now, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Climate Change & Environment, given approval to the lease of
parking spaces under council ownership to Iduna for the delivery of
Electric Vehicle Charging infrastructure in respect of the site at
Banks Lane, Offerton; and to the to the lease of parking spaces
under council ownership and related substation licence agreements
for the sites of Caroline Street, Edgeley; Church Road/Woods Lane,
Cheadle Hulme; Mellor Road, Cheadle Hulme; and Massie Street,
Cheadle on the terms as outlined in the ‘not for
publication’ report.
