The Area Committee has
given approval to an application received from the Association of
Ukrainians in Great Britain (Stockport branch) for a grant of
£375 from the Ward Flexibility Funding Budget (£125
from Brinnington & Stockport
Central, £125 from Davenport & Cale Green and £125
from Edgeley ward allocations) towards the cost of hosting a summer
event to celebrate Independence Day of Ukraine, a state holiday in
Ukraine celebrated in commemoration of the Declaration of
Independence of 1991.
