Purpose

As part of the Scrutiny Work Programme
approved by the Council, a review by the Communities and Transport
Committee into cycling within the borough took place.
The review considered the policy position of cycling within
Stockport and sub-region, and required the involvement of both SMBC
and TfGM officers due to the joint responsibility for the delivery
of policy and infrastructure within Stockport. This is the Cabinet
Responce to the Recomendations of the Scrutiny review.

Content

The Cabinet has given
approval to its response to the recommendations contained in the
‘Stockport Cycling Strategic Review’ Scrutiny Review
carried out by the Communities & Transport Scrutiny
Committee.
