The Area Committee has
given approval to the following recommendations -
(1)  To note
the contents of this report;
(2)  To
continue with the following investment policies:

·        
to maintain the value of the Trust in real terms before considering
any distribution, and

·        
to reinvest the dividends received in relation to the Investment
Fund back into that Investment Fund;
(3)  To
agree not to make funding available for distribution from the Trust
during 2025/26 due to the Trust’s deficit outlined in the
report of £5,796;
(4)  To
continue with the current investment policies which are as
follows:

·         To
maintain the value of the Trust in real terms before considering
any distribution, and

·         To
reinvest the dividends received back into the Investment Fund for
capital growth, and;
(5)  To
request that the Director of Finance provides an update on options
for seeking financial advice on the investment strategy for the
fund for the Committee to consider as trustees.

has been republished to correct an administrative error in the
schedule of decisions previously published).
 

Alternative options considered

The Committee
considered whether to change the investment policies to allow for
the distribution of funds. However, this was rejected due to the
Trust being in deficit by £5,796 as of 30 September 2025. It
was noted that any distribution agreed would reduce the value of
the fund in real terms.
