The Area Committee has
given approval to the recommendation by Network Management that the
report be noted and no further action be taken in respect of the
petition’s request for a residents parking permit scheme in
New Hey Road, Cheadle.

Alternative options considered

To consider proceeding
with further work into a residents parking permit scheme in New Hey
Road Cheadle. Whilst noting the concerns of residents raised in the
petition, this option was rejected by Members due to concerns
around the financial cost of any new scheme, and the wider
implications for parking on nearby roads.
