Purpose
The report outlines the 2026/27 fee setting
recommendations for the most significant areas of externally
commissioned services within Adult Social Care. The Council is
committed to working with our partners in the private and voluntary
sectors to create a sustainable and high-quality market for care
provision. The process undertaken in this annual exercise has built
on and benefited from the strong working relationship with our
provider markets.
Content
The Cabinet has
considered a report outlining the 2026/27 fee setting
recommendations for the most significant areas of externally
commissioned services within Adult Social Care and has given
approval to:-
(1) The increase in
fees and charges set out in this report.
(2) The delegation of
authority to the Director of Adult Social Care, in consultation
with the Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing & Adult Social
Care to communicate and implement the agreed uplifts.
Alternative options considered
Consideration of
multiple alternative options have been made in respect of fee
setting for Adult Social Care in 2026/27.
