Purpose

This report is to advise the Councillors of the progress of the procurement process and results of the procurement process undertaken by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to appoint a supplier to deliver the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund using the ‘New’ Procurement Act 2023.

Decision

The Cabinet has considered a report providing an update on the procurement exercise undertaken by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to appoint a supplier to deliver the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund pursuant to the Procurement Act 2023, and has then agreed to:-

(1) Approve that Transport for Greater Manchester proceed to award the contract for The Design, Supply, Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Greater Manchester to the Preferred Supplier set out in the confidential Appendix 1; and

(2) Delegate authority to the Director of Place Management in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services and the Assistant Director of Governance to agree the terms of any legal agreements required in order to give effect to the resolutions contained in this report and any further related legal agreements arising out of the project as a whole.

(NOTE: The report contained a ‘not for publication’ appendix that had been circulated to members of the Cabinet only).

Alternative options considered

No other option has been considered following the decision by cabinet on 04/02/2025 to allow TfGM to undertake this procurement exercise. The process for procurement for the LEVI project requires consistency across Greater Manchester.
