Purpose

The CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public
Finance and Accountancy) Code of Practice for Treasury Management
recommends that Members be updated on treasury management
activities regularly (TMSS, Mid-Year, Annual and Quarterly
reports). This report therefore ensures this Council is
implementing best practice in accordance with the Code.

Content

The Cabinet considered
a report providing an update on the operation and effectiveness of
the Council's Treasury Management function for quarter one of
2023/24 and has agreed to note the report, the treasury activity
and recommend approval of any changes to the prudential
indicators.
