Decision

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the legal advertising of a Traffic Regulation Order on Torkington Road and Offerton Road at a cost of £2,775 (to be funded from the Delegated Budget (Hazel Grove ward allocation)) and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, that the order be made:

No Waiting at Any Time:

Torkington Road

Southern side, from a point 4 metres West of the (projected) Eastern property line of Number 69 in an Easterly / South Easterly direction (following the kerb line) for a distance of 89 metres.

North Eastern side from a point 1.5 metres South of the Northern property line of No. 75 in a South Westerly direction for a distance of 26 metres.

Offerton Road

South Eastern side from a point 1.5 metres South of the Southern property line of Number 2 in a North Easterly direction for a distance of 31 metres (to tie-in with the aforementioned).

Alternative options considered

The alternative would be to leave this part of the junction unrestricted, which could have adverse implications for road safety and traffic management.
