The Cabinet Member for Parks Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) as advertised and set out in Appendix A to the report.

The coach layby changes are required to facilitate the safe and efficient operation of the Marple Community Hub by providing a dedicated location for coaches transporting children and organised groups, with the retention of general parking outside operational hours.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option would be to retain the existing parking arrangements; however, this would not provide a dedicated coach facility for the Marple Community Hub and would fail to deliver the associated highway safety and accessibility benefits.
