The Area Committee has given approval to an application from Rehab Fitness CIC for a grant of £500 from Reddish South Ward allocation only towards the cost of a project for a walking group taken from the Lancashire Hill Community Centre which is surrounded by Lancashire Hill High Rise flats, This will be aimed at the residents of the flats and local area including socially isolated residents, people who may live alone or have limited social contact, individuals managing health challenges, including, but not limited to, those in recovery from addiction to alcohol or drugs, those managing mild-to-moderate mental health issues (like anxiety/depression), or those with long-term physical conditions who need gentle exercise and the "quietly vulnerable":
