On 13 March 2024, the
Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services gave
approval to the introduction of an Experimental Traffic Regulation
orders to provide Limited Waiting and Loading Bays as a means of
improving loading/unloading and pick up and drop off facilities for
businesses in Stockport Town Centre. 
This was published on 20 March 2024 as decision reference
CMDHPL104.
 
Subsequent to the
decision being taken, and following further discussions and
clarification from Legal Services, the proposals have now been
amended to permit disabled badge holders to park within the limited
waiting areas.
 
The Cabinet Member for
Parks, Highways & Transport Services has therefore given
approval to the introduction of the revised package of Experimental
Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) to provide Limited Waiting and
Loading Bays, as set out in Appendix A to the report, and shown on
the associated drawings.
