The Cabinet Member for
Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to
Measures C and D (as shown in Drawings F/5194/D/116 Rev A and
F/5194/D/117 Rev A included within appendix A of the report) of the
Marple Area Cycling and Walking Strategy scheme, and that
Additional Measures 1, 2 (as shown on Drawing F/5194/D/118) and 3
be given approval for future funding bids.

Alternative options considered

A gyratory option was
previously considered and discounted (as set out in the Capability
Fund Progress Report – Marple District Centre Walking and
Cycling Improvements submitted to the Marple Area Committee on 26
January 2022).
