That the Leader approves the
allocation of funding in Appendix 1 as recommended by the UK Shared
Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Team and that contract be drawn up in
accordance with those approvals.

Reasons for the decision

To enable maximum retention of
REPF funds for use within the District and to reduce the amount of
underspent funds to be repaid to the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

Alternative options considered

Option 1: For the Leader to
approve the recommended project for funding and for their
obligations in terms of delivery of spend and achievement of
intended outcomes and outputs to be confirmed by entering into
existing formal grant agreement.
 
Option 2: To recommend some
selected changes to the recommendation for funding and then to
approve project for funding and for their obligations in terms of
delivery of spend and achievement of intended outcomes and outputs
to be confirmed by entering into existing formal grant
agreement.
 
Option 3: To decline to accept
the recommendations for project to be funded and allow the
underspend to be returned to the Ministry of Housing, Communities
& Local Government.
