Decision to procure Land Use
Consultants in accordance with:
1. paragraph 12 of the general
delegation to Heads of Service in the Scheme of
Delegations:

12.

To exercise all powers in
relation to procuring, letting and managing contracts, (subject to
any restrictions imposed by Contract Standing Orders) to include
any necessary variation within budget, to include the service of
default notices or any other action necessary to deal with
non-performance;

And
2. Table 3 of the Contract
Standing Orders where the Head of Service can authorise contracts
up to £150,000. In this case the contract value is
£53,745.19.  

Reasons for the decision

Enable consultants to undertake
work to underpin the Environmental Policies contained within the
South Warwickshire Local Plan. Adequate provision for
consultants’ costs is made in the budget for the
SWLP.

Alternative options considered

Tender exercise has been
undertaken and Land Use Consultants met
the brief and were identified as the best fit for the commission
following evaluation by officers.
