consent to the assignment of the lease.

Reasons for the decision

The current owner is the estate
of a former resident. Solicitors wish to assign the lease to the
beneficiary of the estate and have sought the Council’s
agreement to this. This is a residential property.
 
The matter is being dealt with
by Legal Services, so the Council’s interests are being
protected.  Legal costs will also be
covered.  A decision to consent to the
assignment has no impact on the Council as it no longer owns the
property.
