Purpose

Proposed renewal of an access
licence across land adjacent to Windsor Street carpark to the rear
of 9 Mansell Street.

That the Council will grant a
new licence.
 

Reasons for the decision

A number
of properties in Mansell Street back
on to the SDC land and may access their parking via it.  Granting a licence ensures that the owner of No 9
does not gain any rights to the access. 
The proposed licence is for
five years with an annual fee reflecting the use of No 9 for
residential purposes only (as other properties in similar
situations in the District)
The licensee will cover
SDC’s legal costs.
SDC is protected from risk due
to the involvement of Legal in the drafting.
