That the District Council award
through grant funding £23,612 to Voluntary Action
Stratford-on-Avon.
Reasons for the decision
Stratford-on-Avon District
Council has a long-standing commitment to fund Voluntary Action
Stratford-on-Avon.
Voluntary Action
Stratford-on-Avon (VASA) is a charity operating within the district
and delivering a range of services including, community transport
with volunteer drivers, wheelchair loans and community activities
& clubs supporting all generations.
VASA is a key partner, and
their activities are aligned to the Growing Opportunities Plan
2026-29. The Council has historically supported VASA by making a
small contribution towards its core costs and delivery of the
volunteer drivers service which supports those who cannot access
public transport to attend medical appointments and health &
wellbeing opportunities.
Alternative options considered

effectively with the 2024/25 award.
