Purpose

At a meeting on 2nd October 2023 Cabinet
approved the procurement of a further temporary accommodation
contract commencing December 2024 to enable the Council to meet its
statutory duties under the homelessness legislation by providing
temporary accommodation.
 
Suitable properties are required to provide
the above-mentioned temporary accommodation.
 
The subject of this decision notice is to take
a 7-year head lease renewal from Orbit Housing Association Limited
of a portfolio of such suitable properties in Stratford upon Avon.
These properties will be sublet to SDC’s temporary
accommodation contract provider who in turn will grant occupation
agreements in accordance with the temporary accommodation
contract.
