Purpose

The laptops currently used were
purchased at the beginning of the Covid outbreak to allow flexible
working. The warranty on the machines is expiring and they need to
be replaced. The ICT capital programme, presented to The Cabinet on
15 January 2024 and approved by Council on 26 February 2024, has
the laptop replacement programme scheduled for 2024/25 and 2025/26
at £175,000 each year. The procurement of the equipment will
be made in accordance with the Council’s agreed procurement
process.

Content

To replace the current laptops
that are out of warranty. It is expected that the replacement of
all laptops over the two-year period will cost approximately
£350,000. This includes the members as well as staff
equipment.
