About

The Performance and Finance Scrutiny Committee reviews the executive functions of Surrey Heath Borough Council, excluding those handled by the External Partnerships Select Committee. It monitors and reports on the performance of council services against targets in the Annual Plan and Five Year Strategy, and advises on existing and developing policies and strategies.

The committee also examines decisions made by the Leader/Executive, investigates matters referred to it, and considers issues raised through the 'call-in' procedure and Councillor Call for Action Protocol. Its role is to scrutinise and provide recommendations, influencing council operations and service delivery.
