Decision
The Executive RESOLVED that
(i) the Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) be retained in Surrey Heath for a further three years and the retention and introduction of the following restrictions be approved:
a. a ban on dog fouling in all public areas within Surrey Heath;
b. a ban on dogs entering the Council's children's play areas in Surrey Heath;
c. a requirement for dogs to be kept on leads during the bird nesting season (1 March to 31 July) at Lightwater Country Park;
d. the continuation of the alcohol control zones in Camberley Town Centre and the Old Dean;
e. a prohibition on erecting tents in Camberley Town Centre, London Road Recreation Ground and Camberley Park without the permission of the landowner; and
f. restrictions on the use of catapults and slingshots throughout Surrey Heath to prevent harm and injury;
g. a requirement for dogs to be placed on leads when asked by an authorised officer;
(ii) authority be delegated to the Director of Built Environment and Regulation, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Built Environment and Regulation, to consider the introduction of an additional measure under the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) relating to wildfire prevention; and
(iii) authority be delegated to the Director of Built Environment and Regulation, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Built Environment and Regulation, to consider the introduction of an additional measure under the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) relating to expanding the geographical area of the prohibition on erecting tents.
