The Gower National Landscape Advisory Group endorsed the proposal for National Grid Electricity Distribution to replace overhead power lines with underground cabling at Broughton. This decision was made on 21 September 2026. The proposal involves replacing 800m of overhead line and 12 poles with 570m of underground cabling, fully funded by National Grid.
