Purpose

This report seeks approval to introduce a
traffic calming scheme to promote travel safety on Old Road,
Mottram. This will include a public consultation exercise to get
feedback from residents and businesses in the local area.

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.      
Permission is given under section 90A/90C/90G of the
Highways Act 1980 to advertise the placement of a series of traffic
calming features along Old Road, Mottram including the introduction
of a road narrowing feature.

2.      
Any unresolved objections will be reported at a
future Speakers Panel (Planning) meeting, otherwise if unopposed
the proposals to introduce the traffic calming features will be
approved.
