To award a 12-month contract to ANS Group Limited at
the cost of £0.250m. This contract will commission a
technical implementation partner to implement a data platform and
develop key social care reports using Microsoft Power
BI.

The contract will include the creation of a data
platform in our Microsoft Azure tenancy using Microsoft Fabric, the
design, modelling and ingestion of Adults data from multiple
sources, the creation of Power BI reports plus a support model with
ANS for our internal Performance team to leverage the Adults design
to build and ingest Children’s data from multiple
sources.

The engagement will allow for an industry best
practice implementation and the opportunity to learn and develop
skills so the data platform can be effectively maintained in the
future. In addition, Power BI is a new visualisation tool,
available through M365, and the implementation partner will support
with the development of key social care reports whilst also
providing skills and knowledge transfer to performance
teams.
The
primary driver for this work is to support the Council to achieve
the digital transformation objectives as approved by the Executive
Cabinet on 25 September 2024.

Reasons for the decision

To commission a technical implementation partner to
implement a data platform and develop key social care reports using
Microsoft Power BI.

The engagement will allow for the industry best
practice implementation and the opportunity to learn and develop

The
new dashboard reports created from the data platform will provide
real time reports to inform operational managers to priories
workloads and inform decision making across Adults and
Children’s Social Care. Also, Tameside residents will receive
an improved level of care with the real time business intelligence
being available, which will allow for the correct and timely
