Purpose

To approve the revised Waste Levy Allocation
Methodology Agreement (LAMA)

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:

The revised Levy Allocation Methodology Agreement
(LAMA) is approved.

Reasons for the decision

The levy allocation agreement between all Greater
Manchester councils (with the exception of Wigan MBC) and the
Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the waste disposal authority
has been updated to mitigate any potential additional costs falling
on councils that are not charging for garden waste collections. It
has also been updated to account for changes as a result of the
implementation of Simpler Recycling by the Government.
The
elected member for Environmental Services and Neighbourhoods and
the elected Member for Finance and Resources have been consulted
and approve the revised agreement.
