Purpose

The works were being tendered through the LEP
contract which has now ended. As such, a compliant route to tender
the works needs to be undertaken and it is proposed to engage with
Star Procurement to decide the most appropriate way forward.
Discussions with the DfE have been undertaken and a request for an
extension of time to complete the project have been accepted.
A bid for further capital grant application is being submitted to
the DfE for additional capital.

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.    
Approval is granted for the budget of the scheme to
be £3.820m.

2.    
Approval is granted to accept the additional capital
grant funding of £0.100m from the DfE.

3.    
Approval is granted to procure the construction of
the Meadow View through Star Procurement.

4.    
Approval is granted to appoint an Employers Agent
and/or a Contract Administrator.
