Purpose

A decision is needed on whether to accept
grant funding to help to maintain the Pennine Bridleway where it
runs through the borough.

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.      
The offer of £2,367.40 contribution towards
the maintenance of the Pennine Bridleway be accepted.

2.      
That Tameside MBC commits to contributing
£1,014.60 match funding to bring the combined total to
£3,382.00.

Reasons for the decision

To fulfil Tameside MBC’s duty to maintain the
Pennine Bridleway at a reduced cost to the authority.
Tameside MBC’s financial regulations requires that
authorisation is granted by a Delegated Decision to accept a grant
offer and to commit to a match funding contribution as per the
detail set out in the report.
