That it be DETERMINED that:

1.      
Approval is given to accept funding of £0.195m
in 2025-2026 on behalf of the Greater Manchester Public Health
Leadership Network, which TMBC are the hosts of, which has been
awarded to GM from the Partnership for Health Cities
Programme.

Reasons for the decision

The Partnerships
for Healthy Cities programme is a well-recognised initiative to
address non communicable disease and reduce injuries. It is
supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and is active across 74
global cities.   The grant funding
is being made to Greater Manchester based on the existing good work
on these agendas in GM including collaborative work on tackling
smoking, alcohol harm, and increasing breastfeeding, to continue
this work at the city-region level.
