CAPITAL FUNDING APPROVAL FOR INTERNAL ADAPTATION – ACCESSIBLE PERSONAL CARE FACILITIES AT TAMESIDE COLLEGE
August 1, 2025 Strategic Director of Finance/S151 (Officer) In call-in window View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
To ensure the immediate educational and accessibility needs
of the prospective students can be met within a mainstream setting, in line
with inclusive education priorities and statutory responsibilities under the
Equality Act 2010 and SEND Code of Practice.
This supports inclusion, independence, and equal access to education.
To meet the increasing in-borough demand for specialist
school places, ensure more pupils with SEND are educated in local inclusive
settings, and reduce financial pressure on the High Needs Block by decreasing
reliance on expensive out-of-borough placements.
