Purpose

Following the initial governance in April 2024 to replace
the boilers and further governance to procure through Star
procurement in June 2025, a tender exercise has been carried out
and a preferred contractors have been chosen to undertake the
works.  The works are to include replacement of
the boilers and to remove or encapsulate the asbestos in the boiler
room.

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:
(i)            
Following the tender process through Star procurement, Redstone
Building Services Ltd are awarded the tender to replace the boilers
at Livingstone Primary School.

(ii)           
A contract be negotiated and entered into with Redstone Building
Services Ltd with a value of £0.040m replace the
boilers.

(iii)         
Following the tender process through Star procurement Redstone
Building Services Ltd are awarded the tender to remove the asbestos
at Livingstone Primary School along with their preferred
sub-contractor.

(iv)         
A contract be negotiated and entered into with Redstone Building
Services Ltd and their asbestos removals subcontractor with a value
of £0.014

(v)           
The remaining budget on the scheme is held as a contingency to
be used as appropriate by the Council’s contract
administrator.
