Purpose

On 27 October 2021 it was
announced that the £19.87m Levelling Up Fund (LUF) bid for
Ashton Town Centre had been successful.   The specific interventions proposed in the LUF
bid include the comprehensive redevelopment of Ashton Market Square
which will be the final phase of the Vision Tameside
programme.

Engineering Services were
requested to deliver the street lighting scheme, for the Market
Square, by the Growth Directorate - the project
sponsors.

On the advice of STaR procurement
Engineering Services would like permission to award the street
lighting contract to Studiotech UK Limited via a Yorkshire
Purchasing Organisation (YPO) Call off contract from an existing
Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
