Permission to be
given to award a new contract to Company F, namely Icare Solutions
Stockport Limited, for a contract for Mental Health Community
Support to commence on 1 April 2026 for a period of five years up
to 31 March 2031 with an option to extend for a further two years
from 1 April 2031 to 31 March 2033.
Reasons for the decision
On 25 September 2024 Executive
Cabinet approved a tender process to commence in September 2025 and
complete in November 2025 for the provision of a Mental Health
Community Support Service. The current contract is due to expire on 31
March 2026.
An open tendering exercise
commenced 29 September 2025 and closed 12noon on 20 October 2025.
The tender was completed fully in accordance with Tameside
Metropolitan Borough Council Procurement Standing Orders and in
conjunction with Public Procurement requirements via the CHEST
(Northwest procurement portal).
We now seek permission to award a
contract to Company F, namely Icare Solutions Stockport Limited,
for a duration of five years commencing 1 April 2026 with an expiry
date of 31 March 2031, with an option to extend for a further two
years up to 31 March 2033.
