Purpose

The report
sought approval for the Denton Public Realm Masterplan and delivery
of the next steps required. The report included a summary of the
key strategies and consultation findings that had informed the
plan’s objectives and interventions to regenerate the town
centre.

Content

RESOLVED 

(i)           
To approve the
Denton Public Realm Strategy and Masterplan (Appendices 1, 4, 5
& 6).

(ii)         
Subject to
recommendation 1 and 4, provide approval to progress delivery of
the masterplan, including delegating decision-making authority for
detailed design, necessary public consultation and related
procurement, to the Strategic Growth Director, in consultation with
the Strategic Director of Housing, Environment & Estates, the
S.151 Officer, and Monitoring Officer as appropriate.

(iii)       
To delegate
decision making authority for implementation of the early
interventions package (Appendix 2) to the Strategic Growth
Director, in consultation with the Strategic Director of Housing,
Environment & Estates, the Executive Member for Growth, Housing
and Homelessness and Executive Member for Town Centres and
Connectivity as appropriate.

(iv)       
Agree that a
further report will be brought to Executive Cabinet on completion
of the detailed design works for the medium-term projects as set
out in the Denton Public Realm Strategy and Masterplan.
