Receipt of a
Grant Award for £0.088m from the DfE to install solar panels
at The Heys Primary School be approved together with the associated
grant terms and conditions and the signing of the funding
agreement.

 

Reasons for the decision

The DfE have selected The Heys
Primary School as one of the schools receive funding for and to
install solar panels. The scheme will deliver significant long-term
energy savings and sustainability benefits. It includes 94 PV
modules with an estimated annual usable solar production of 45.52
MWh, resulting in a lifetime value of £0.286m against a cost
of £0.088m. 

Alternative options considered

Do nothing – rejection will
prevent the opportunity for energy savings and sustainability
improvements at no cost to the Local Authority or the
school.
