Full council record
Purpose

Greater Manchester Combined
Authority (GMCA) has previously provided funding to Tameside
Council to support the delivery of Adult Domestic Abuse Perpetrator
Interventions and Independent Domestic Violence Advisory (IDVA)
services.

The funding from GMCA has
contributed to the wider funding into the domestic abuse support
service, Bridges Partnership to delivery perpetrator interventions
and support for high-risk victims of domestic abuse, and towards
the delivery of the Multi Agency Tasking and Co-ordination (MATAC)
approach to managing high risk perpetrators of domestic abuse,
which is co-ordinated via GMP.

GMCA has confirmed that further
funding for 2025/26 is available to Tameside Council at the same
level as previous years (£0.197m) for the continuation of
adult perpetrator interventions, Independent Domestic Abuse
Advisory (IDVA) service and MATAC during this financial
year.

This report seeks permission to
accept the continued grant funding from GMCA to come into the
Public Health budget and be allocated as a contribution towards the
delivery of adult perpetrator interventions and Independent
Domestic Violence Advisory (IDVA) services via Bridges Partnership,
and MATAC via Greater Manchester Police in line with the grant
expectations from GMCA.
