Approved:

 

To award a four
year (two years with the option to extend for one year and then a
further year) contract to Banner UK for stationery and consumables
at the cost of up to £0.108m (exclusive of VAT).

 

The contract will
start in January 2026. 

Reasons for the decision

The Council’s current
contract for the provision of stationery and consumables ended in
November 2021. The Council has been procuring related items out of
contract since this date.

 

By entering a new contract with
Banner, the Council will remain compliant and will be able to
benefit from cost savings on stationery and consumables.

 

Award via the CCS
RM6299 - Office Solutions

 

Alternative options considered

I.)           
Do
nothing. This is not an
appropriate option as the latest prices offered by Banner will
deliver a saving for the Council.

 

II.)           
Go to
tender. The Council has
identified the supplier through the CCS RM6299 – Office
Solutions Framework. The programme of work has been scoped and to
go market at this stage would cause significant delays to the
Council’s achievement of associated savings.
