Purpose

The report outlined the proposals
for revised inflation prices to enable the service to meet the cost
of providing adult services in 2026-27 to all care providers who
supported Tameside residents.

Content

RESOLVED

That Executive
Cabinet note the report and subject to approval of the Councils
budget at the Council meeting on the 2 March 2026 that approval be
given to:

(i)                
The proposed new
rates for care home placements as detailed in Appendix 1 table 2 of
this report.

(ii)              
The proposed new
rates for Support at Home and Standard Home Care as detailed in
Appendix 1 table 3 of this report,

(iii)            
The spot purchase
rates for sleep in and waking nights as detailed in Appendix 1
table 3 of this report.

(iv)            
The proposed up
lifts of adult services commissioned through contract prices
highlighted in Appendix 1 table 4

(v)              
The proposed
revised rate for extra care of £20.26

(vi)            
The revised
Direct Payment rates as detailed in Appendix 1 table 5 of this
report.

(vii)          
The rate
increases for Shared Lives Carer payments detailed in Appendix 1
Table 6 of this report.

(viii)        
The increase of
any fee not included in Appendix 1 by 4.35%

(ix)            
The delegation to
the Director of Adult Services to increase any fee more than those
stated in Appendix 1 by a greater percentage rate with supporting
evidence.

(x)              
All payment rates
detailed in the report to be effective from 1 May 2026

(xi)            
The related
impact of care package fee increases on the financial assessment of
the service user is from 1 May 2026.
