Purpose

The report set
out that a new nine bed children's home named Meadow View was to be
constructed in Flowery Fields, Hyde. This was to provide
accommodation for nine young people in care, to include four long
stay residential rooms, five short break respite rooms, two
kitchen/living areas, two staff offices, two staff bedrooms and two
utility rooms. This report provided an overview of the procurement
process and sought approval to enter into a contract the preferred
bidder, John Southworth Builders Ltd.

A contract be
awarded to John Southworth Builders Ltd for the construction of
Meadow View Children’s Home.

Any spend against
the contingency is to be authorised by the Head of Facilities
Management and Capital Projects
